Poetry Recital

Kia ora whanau

The “Team Roto” poetry recital is coming up in week 8.  During week 8 all classes will have their own recital and 5 children will be selected to go through to the finals with Team Roto and Team Arawai.  Most children have prepared and started practising their poem and are enjoying the challenge.

Important points for children to remember:

• All children must have a rehearsed poem.
• The poem can be one made up by your child or a poem from a book.
• Poem needs to memorised and only have cards as prompts.
• Be expressive, speak clearly and make eye contact.

The Poetry Recital Final will be on Wednesday the 29th June starting at 1.30pm.
